Paw v0.30.0

Paw v0.30.0 brings a broad update to the desktop experience, with a more consistent interface and new tools for managing and reviewing your credentials.

A more consistent Paw

Vault navigation, item lists, detail views, and editors now share a clearer visual style. Vault settings bring appearance, master password, and deletion controls together, while application settings include background auto-lock and updated password generation options. Paw now supports light and dark themes, as well as following the system appearance.

Authenticator codes and password audit

The new Codes view gathers verification codes from login items in the active vault. Password Audit helps identify exposed, weak, and reused passwords, with findings linked to the corresponding items.

CXF backup flows

Paw can export credentials in the FIDO Credential Exchange Format (CXF), either encrypted or as plaintext, and restore them into a separate vault. Plaintext exports are available only after explicit confirmation.

Password generation and security

Random passwords and PINs now use Go’s cryptographically secure random source directly, independently of the vault key. If you edit a generated password, Paw preserves and saves the value you entered.
